Christmas time again!
I can't believe it's time already to get my good friend Rachel (my only follower on here) to take our family & Bus pictures with her awesome camera! We ended up going to Floyd Lamb State park here in Las Vegas to take them. The sun was setting and thankfully it was not too windy which it was this week for our photo shoot. The peacocks were out in abundance and Rach was a great sport to do it for us even with my son's wonderful attitude. ( i pinched him i guess when i touched his arm) Many great shots that I am now going to display all over our house! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
Eyes
As you can see... I got my eyes! I first saw them at OCTO then at BBB but finally when we went to the Long Beach OCTO this year I saw Kristine Salazar had made these less expensive ones that have magnets sewn into the edges so they will hang around the front windows! Great idea and glad that my Bus is on the samba now advertising for her site! Already a guy from the Netherlands on my FB friend list and a lady from Chile wanted to buy some too! Join the Bus-wagen, I guess you could say!

OCTO- Long Beach October 22, 2011
This show got me all excited. I always wanted to go to the OCTO show at the Huntington Beach HS but this time they had it at the Long Beach Vet's Memorial Stadium. Great backdrop with the rectangular shapes behind the Buses. We arrived late, around 10 so alot of VWs had already left but the ones that were there were enough. As my husband says is my Bus "kick" to keep me at ease for the rest of our trip. There were alot of 15 and 13 windows this time around and a good selection of swappers. We found some dual carbs from a guy named Joe with a clean blue SC. Hot Dog Fred was there without his hot dogs and I even got to take a picture with Everett Barnes (the samba.com) poor guy, I think I embarrassed him. Also pulled the kiddos around in a great find, my 1950's Greyhound wagon I found the morn' before at a Goodwill in Anaheim for $ 29.99. Cha-ching! There is one thing I realized I don't have in my collection... the Ninja Turtles Bus! Dang it! On the next hunt, I guess.

Best show for type 2 lovers
I would have to say in my opinion the OCTO show in June at the Anaheim Stadium has to be the best gathering of type 2s in the west coast. The smog blocks out the sun til one so you can wear your fav logo jacket while walking around the lot. Some guys came all the way from Germany to sell some VW artifacts that are illegal back home. OCTO- Orange County Transporters Organization had a wonderful turnout this year along with swap meet vendors. Everyone trying to sell some of their treasures. I do regret that we weren't fast enough in buying 2 rear corners from a 15 window so another word of advice: don't diddle daddle. DDD.
